Manchester City managed to keep the pace of their victory in week 14 of the 2018/19 Premier League. Entertaining Bournemouth at the Etihad Stadium, Man City won by a score of 3-1.
Man City coach Pep Guardiola tried to overhaul the squad in this match with five substitutions in the starting XI. He chose to play attacking trio Raheem Sterling-Gabriel Jesus-Leroy Sane, no name Sergio Aguero.
Bernardo Silva opened Man City's lead in the 16th minute. Bournemouth responded and equalized until halftime. Man City finally came out as winners thanks to goals from Raheem Sterling and Ilkay Gundogan in the second round.

First round
Manchester City appears dominant since the match began. Although without Sergio Aguero, Man City's strength seemed not much different. Leroy Sane performed brilliantly and several times threatened the Bournemouth goal at the start of the match.
Man City striker trio: Sterling-Jesus-Sane features a slick offensive combination. Sane had a chance in the 12th minute but his shot bounced past the far post.
It didn't take long for Man City to find the first goal. Man City's squad found a gap on the right side of the Bournemouth defense.
Zinchenko released a neat pass for Sane, Begovic brushed off the ball. But the ball fell right in front of Bernardo Silva who then fired a hard shot past the line of players, ripping through the Bournemouth goal.

Winning one goal, Man City playing more comfortable. Sterling and Sane have several times found a gap in the defensive Bournemouth defense. However, Bournemouth is capable of overcoming Man City's fast game.
Bournemouth even got a golden opportunity in the 39th minute. Joshua King released a neat bait from the right side of the Man City defense. Callum Wilson managed to reach the bait but his execution was too wide. A moment later, King's execution turn was blocked by Aymeric Laporte.
Bournemouth's fight finally paid off in the 44th minute. Simon Francis received Lewis Cook's pass on the left side of the Man City defense. Francis then released a cross which was the perfect meal for Wilson.
The tall striker then released a powerful header into the top right corner of Man City's goal. Ederson managed to touch the ball but did not do much.

Second round
Entering the second half, Bournemouth started the game bravely, attacking Man City. Wilson again got a chance but Ederson was still too tough.
Man City almost scored. Sterling passed the five Bournemouth players and fired hard into the left corner of the goal. Unfortunately, Sterling's kickball hit the goalpost.
Sterling's hard work finally paid off, he brought Man City back ahead in the 57th minute. Sterling started the attack and handed the ball to Danilo who tried to open fire.
Begovic managed to brush off the ball but the ball just fell in front of Sterling who then unstoppable hard kick.

Successfully winning, Man City played more comfortably. Jesus got two successive opportunities, only he was out of luck. The goal never arrived for the young Brazilian striker.
Had been depressed, Man City could finally breathe a sigh of relief after Ilkay Gundogan scored Man City's third goal and buried Bournemouth's hopes. It all started with Sane's movements.
The German player executed a corner kick received by David Silva. Then, Silva returned the ball to Sane who released a cross into the penalty box. Easily, Gundogan kicked the ball from a relatively close distance.
79th minute, Man City 3-1 Bournemouth.
Man City almost added advantage at the end of the match, again Leroy Sane who threatened Begovic's goal. Nevertheless, the score 3-1 did not change until the referee closed the match.
This is the sixth successive victory achieved by Man City in the Premier League, and the defending champions scored 22 goals in just six of those games.
