For the first time, eSport will compete formally at a multi-event sports event. eSport will appear at the 2019 SEA Games.
The success of electronic sports (eSport) exhibition at the 2018 Asian Games has a positive impact. eSport is approved by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to be competing in the 2019 SEA Games which take place in Manila, Philippines.
An announcement of the news of the eSport sports at the 2019 SEA Games comes from the chairman of the 2019 SEA Games organizing committee, Alan Peter Cayetano. That is, every medalist in an eSport match will count on behalf of the country.
In total there are six gold medals that will be contested at eSport, which are divided into three groups. The details are two for consoles, two for PCs, and two for mobile.
So far, only Mobile Legends: Bang-bang has been officially announced as a game to compete with. Other types of games are only discussed until December 15, 2018.
The 2019 SEA Games will be officially opened on November 30, 2019. This Southeast Asian sports party is titled We Win As One.
